Last March I went to the Westmount Book Fair (organized by Mr. Wilfrid M. de Freitas) where I acquired a new title for my collection of old books. I would like to remind everyone that a similar (but bigger) book fair is scheduled to happen in a couple of weeks.
The 36th edition of the Antiquarian Book Fair (organized by the Confrérie de la Libraries Ancienne du Québec) will be held at the Concordia University (Pavillon McConnell, 1400 boul. Maisonneuve O.) Saturday September 28th (from 12:00 to 18:00) and Sunday September 29th (from 11:00 to 17:00). It will feature a wide selection of collectable books, rare, illustrated, first editions and fine bindings of all genres but with a particular focus on fantasy books. The admission fee will be 6$ for the 2 days.
I am planning to go have a look in hope to find some interesting books (I will particularly be looking for classical author editions of the 16th or 17th century) — although I also despair that temptation will make me spend too much!
